Grants

There are two continuously available grants available under the Warm Front scheme.

• The Warm Front Grant: There is a means tested grant of up to £3,500 for gas installations and £6000 for oil, low carbon or renewable technologies where they are considered appropriate. You can find out more about the grant here.
  
• The Warm Front £300 Grant: This is not means tested. If you or any member of the household is over 60 years old, and the property is either owned or privately rented, then you will be elligible. This rebate is available to help towards repairing or replacing an inoperable system or installing a new central heating system where there is none existing at the property. Boiler Scrappage Scheme

Applications for the 125,000 grants made available by the Government have now closed. If you are already in possession of a voucher for the grant, you have 12 weeks from the date of issue to have the work completed. Although the applications are made with the name of a specific installer, once you have the voucher, you are entitled to use any installer you like (assuming they have the necessary qulifications and registration with the appropriate governing body; Gas Safe Register in the case of natural gas and LPG boilers, OFTEC for oil boilers, or HETAS for biomass and solid fuel appliances.)
